What each setting is for

Below we show the sort of choices a user or IT person will see when connecting S200Dashboards.io to Sage 200 Evolution. Each user has their own personalized settings.

SQL connection

YOUR-SQL-SERVER

Enter the SQL Server or instance that hosts Sage 200 Evolution.

YourCompanyDatabase

Choose the Sage company database for this user.

SQL username and password

Use Windows Authentication if the Windows user already has read access. Otherwise create a read-only SQL login.

Evoreader

Click on this button to check your database connection settings are correct and determine the version of Sage Evolution that you are running.

Your Company Name

This name is shown in the app so users know which company database they are viewing.

SQL login permissions

Create a SQL login called Evoreader and map it to each Sage company database that needs dashboards.

The login should be read-only. Tick db_datareader and public. Do not use SQL sa or a Sage administrator account.

Sage and dashboard defaults

Overall

Choose whether Sage 200 Evolution is configured to hold one overall cost per inventory item, or a separate cost per warehouse.

2 decimals

Controls home currency, financial value and unit price display. Quantities and percentages are unchanged. You can set it to use 0, 2 or 3 decimal places.

This affects the red, amber and green traffic light colours on margin and price dashboards.

Choose All Warehouses or select a specific warehouse you would like certain dashboards to report on.

Choose Rep on Transactions or Customer Record Rep depending on how you operate your business.

Order statuses to exclude from order dashboards

1 - Quote
2 - Waiting for customer approval
3 - Awaiting deposit
4 - Backorder review
5 - Internal transfer
6 - Completed

Hold Ctrl while clicking to choose more than one status. These statuses are excluded from Order Line Up, Sales Order Ageing, Back Order Status and Order Fulfillment by default. Choosing a specific order status in a dashboard filter will still show that status even if it is normally excluded here.

Customer groups to exclude from lookup dropdowns

1 - Retail Customers
2 - Trade Customers
3 - National Accounts
4 - Cash Sales
5 - Internal Accounts
6 - Inactive Accounts
7 - Project Customers
8 - Service Customers

Hold Ctrl while clicking to choose more than one customer group. This is for having a tidy Customer selection and does not exclude them from the Dashboards when selecting All Customers. This can only be selected after your first save of settings.

CENT - Central Warehouse

NORTH - North Branch
SERV - Service Stock
SHOW - Showroom Stock
WEST - West Branch
WORK - Workshop Stock

Hold Ctrl while clicking to choose more than one warehouse. This is for having a tidy Warehouse selection and does not exclude them from the Dashboard when selecting All Warehouses. This can only be selected after your first save of settings.

The default warehouse is always kept visible and cannot be selected here.
