Recommended setup

  1. Install S200Dashboards.io on the PC, server or RDS host that will run the local dashboard service.
  2. Ask IT to create a SQL Server login for S200Dashboards.io with database reader access only.
  3. Open the local dashboard address and save the SQL Server, database, username and password in Settings.
  4. Choose default dashboard settings such as warehouse, target GP and refresh timing.
  5. Add extra licensed users from the subscription portal when additional staff need access.

IT notes

The SQL login should be read-only. It should not use the Sage admin account or SQL sa account. On RDS, the finished product should run as one shared local service for the machine, while each Windows user keeps their own dashboard preferences.

Database switcher

For companies with more than one Sage database, the planned database switcher add-on will allow licensed users to move between approved Sage databases.
